Obituary of Robert Boob, 61

Robert K. Boob, 61, of rural Howard, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Born Aug. 29, 1952, in Bellefonte, Bob was the son of the late Stanley G. and Sarah Margaret (Mae) Breon Boob. Bob had worked at Corning Glass until the plant closing in 2003; he recently worked at Allied Mechanical & Electrical. Bob was a member of the Black Panther Campground, he enjoyed woodworking, helping others, and was a master of all trades.

He was of the Protestant Faith Bob is survived by his partner, Laurie Mann and her son, Eric Mann, of rural Howard; two sons, Troy R. (Daphne) Boob, of Zion, and Travis K. and his wife, Laura (Bair), of Etters; two sisters, Lois (Harvey) Hutchinson, of Petersburg, and Carol (Ron) Shaffer, of Spring Mills; and one grandson, Gavin J. Bair. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Boob.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with Speaker George Witherite officiating.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, from 2 – 4 p.m., the time of the services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
