Obituary of Salvatore Mazzotta II, 54

Salvatore “Sam” James Mazzotta, II, 54, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Born December 19, 1962 in Lock Haven he was a son of Donna Eyer Mazzotta Welshans of Jersey Shore and the late Salvatore James Mazzotta, I.

On April 5, 1997 in State College he married the former Elaine Green who survives in PA Furnace.

He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and Penn State University where he received his bachelor’s degree.

Sam was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Boalsburg and was very active in the church. He was employed at Penn State University in the IT department. He loved to read and work on computers. He was a kind and giving man, who would do anything for you.

In addition to his wife , Elaine and mother Donna, he is survived by two sisters, Karen Mazzotta of Boalsburg and Marilyn “Dolly” Young and her husband Dan of Millhall; nephew, Russell Mazzotta; niece Tara Mazzotta; uncle, Joe Mazzotta (Peg) of Zion and an aunt Rosellen Passell (Ken) of Lock Haven.

Visitation will be 10 AM until noon Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home with the Pastor Keith Doster officiating. Private interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
