Wilbur started his career in 1958 with Glenn O. Hawbaker working his way up to a heavy equipment operator. Although he had various employers throughout the years he always returned to Hawbakers retiring after multiple attempts on May 28, 2013. He took pride in his work and was very well know to be a great operator. Along the way making countless close friends that he cherished.

His favorite past times where camping, traveling, butchering (he made the best scrapple, sausage, and deer bologne), Friday morning breakfast with the guys and the Monday morning garage “therapy” meetings. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends.
