William H. “Willie” Taylor, 39, of Penfield, formerly of Centre Hall passed suddenly from this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Born on April 22, 1974 in State College, Willie was a son of the late William F. Taylor and Shirley A. Taylor Auman of Centre Hall. He was a 1993 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School where he played varsity football. He was employed by Capstone Logistics in Dubois as a forklift operator.
Willie loved dirt track racing. He built and maintained his own racecar ( 13 1/2) for the Bulldogs Racing Team at Hummingbird Speedway in Reynoldsville. Willie also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Family members remember him as a charmer and always very respectful to them. He has left us much too soon and it's hard to believe he is gone, however, we have many memories that we will hold near in our hearts.
In addition to his mother, Willie is survived by the love of his life for the past 11 years, Vanessa Simms; two daughters, Brittani R. Morris (Nathan) and Kylie J. Taylor both of Clearfield; one son, Zakarie W. Taylor of Penfield; and two brothers, Neill A. Taylor of Fort Pierce, FL. and Victor R. Taylor of Tyrone. Also surviving is one grandson, Jonathan S. Morris of Clearfield, his lifelong best friend, Chancil Stitzer and his beloved bulldogs. Willie was preceded in death by his father, William on April 22, 2004.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 14 from 9:00 – 11:00 am at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim. The memorial service in Willie's honor will follow at 11:00 with Rev. Russell Sauerwein officiating. Contributions in Willie's memory may be given to the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Po Box 437, Millheim, Pa. 16854 to be given to Willie's children, Brittani, Kylie and Zakarie.
