Randolph D Brumgard Jr. MSGT (Retired) 55 passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021.
Born in Rolla, MO he was the son of the late Randolph D Brumgard Sr. and Connie L Brumgard.
 
Graduated from Bay City High School, Bay City Tx.. 1984.
Wharton Junior College, Wharton Tx. Associate Degree 1987.
St. Martin College, Lacey WA 1994 and a Bachelor degree from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA 2003.
 
Randy joined the armed forces and was assigned to the Army, Fort Benning Ga. Earning his
Infantry and Airborne Tab in 1988.  He earned his Ranger Tab 75th Ranger Distinguished RGI
Graduate Class 10/89 2nd Ranger Bn.  Joined the members of Super Battalion Sound to
Narrow by securing first place title 2nd Ranger Bn. in 1991. 


Earned his Special Forces Tab serving with the 7th Group.   Randy earned his Military Free Fall
Jump Master (MFFJM) badge.  Randy was a member of the U. S. Army Halo Team. Upon earning his Jump Master badge Randy participated in fulfilling personal requested for requalification jumps. MSGT Brumgard also served as a Special Forces Instructor prior to his retirement in 2015 completing 27 years of service.


Throughout MSGT Brumgard career he received numerous medals and awards including the Medal of Valor. His prime objective was to serve his country as a brave loyal soldier. Randy loved the Army it reared him, nurtured him, and gave him the most satisfying years of his life.
 
Randy’s greatest achievement was his two daughters Faith Harley and Grace Morgan.  
He lovingly and patiently taught them to hunt, fish, swim, scuba dive and looked forward to winter getaways and family Christmas gatherings in Happy Valley, and a daily visit to the Penn State Creamery.
 
Growing up Randy loved romping through the Colorado mountains with his hunting and fishing buddy, his cousin, Tina (Ergott) Wakefield.  Randy was anxiously planning a trip to Tina and Cliff’s newly purchased historic hotel in Montana with his companion Lea Costley.
 
He was preceded in death by his father Randolph D Brumgard Sr. and his sister Laurie O’Connell.  He is survived by his daughters Faith Harley and Grace Morgan of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Companion Lea Costley;, Ashville, NC; Mother Connie L. Brumgard; Brother-in-law, Dennis O’Connell; Maternal Grandmother, Gertrude Vonada; Aunt, Carol Franks; Uncle, Clarence (Butch) Zeigler all of Zion, PA.  Great Aunt Miriam (Sis) Sidwell, Granby Ct.; Aunts Candy Reeder; Vickie (Roger) Burkett; Uncles Jake Brumgard, Dick (Kay) Brumgard, Joe Brumgard  all of the Lock Haven area.  Bob Brumgard, Robertsville, Mo; Willie ((Pam) Brumgard, Clintonville, N.Y. Numerous cousins and dear friends Sandy Meade, Eileen McKissick, Cindy Compton, Bill Williams (diving Buddy) and Robert Arias (High School Friend).
 
Randy was a Mason and a Shriner.
 
Randy was of the Lutheran faith.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday,  August 14, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 West Main Street, Howard, PA. 16841. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, August 13th from 6-8 P.M.
