Rebecca M. “Becky” Walk, 71, of Julian, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Born in Bellefonte on May 16, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Geraldine M. (Harpster) Baney, Sr. On June 17, 1989, Becky married the love of her life, Nevin E. Walk, in Media, PA. They shared 33 wonderful years together until his passing in March of 2023.
A 1972 graduate of Collingdale High School, Becky dedicated much of her life to caring for her family and home. She was a devoted homemaker, known for her warmth, generosity, and quiet strength. Becky was a faithful member of Eagle Heights Bible Church in Curtin, where she lovingly taught Sunday School for many years and touched the lives of countless children.
Becky had a love for cooking, baking, and tending to her garden in her younger years with her husband. She took great pride in making her home a welcoming and comforting place for both family and friends. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family—especially her beloved grandchildren. Her unwavering love, support, and kindness will remain a cherished legacy. She is survived by her son, Paul J. Fisher Jr., and his wife, Marie, of Bellefonte; and two stepchildren, Curtis Walk and his wife, Tiffany, of Morrisdale, and Nixie Feathers and her husband, Bob, of State College. Becky was a proud and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Abigail (Trevor), Madison (Matt), Phoebe (Austin), Lucy, Andrew, Deanna, Cyler, McKayla, Jamie, and Hunter; and one great-granddaughter, Tenley.
She is also survived by her siblings: Kenneth E. Baney Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Virginia; Thomas R. Baney, Sr., and his wife, Gloria, of Sandy Ridge; and Melanie J. Henry and her husband, Kirk, of Tennessee. In addition to her parents and husband, Becky was preceded in death by four siblings: Bruce Baney, Michael Baney, Connie Leathers, and Nancy Crust.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Douglas Williams officiating. Becky will be laid to rest beside her husband, Nevin, at Eagle Cemetery in Boggs Township.
