Thomas “Tom” Rudy, 66, of Bellefonte, PA, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on February 15, 1958, in Bellefonte, Tom was a man of few words who lived a life rich with simple joys and hard work. His deep love for the woods, hunting, and muscle cars was complemented by his passion for woodworking, and he often found solace and satisfaction in crafting with his hands.
He graduated from State College Area High School and pursued a carpentry education at Pleasant Gap VoTech, which launched him into a lifelong career that he thoroughly enjoyed. For Tom, going to work each day was more than a duty—it was a source of pride. He worked with skill and dedication for Ag-Com Builders and later Fine Line Homes, where he retired as a respected finish carpenter.
Tom was a dedicated family man, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren and loved ones. A devoted dog lover, Tom had a special place in his heart for his four-legged friends. He is survived by his father, Myron Rudy; his sister, Kathryn (Jay) Croyle; his son, Michael (Kacie) Rudy; and his cherished grandchildren, Liam and Maya Rudy. Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Rudy.
His family and friends will remember him for his quiet strength, his dedication to his craft, and his unwavering love for his family. Tom’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
