BookFest PA back as part of arts festival

STATE COLLEGESince 2010, BookFest PA has been a popular staple of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts. The ninth edition of BookFest will be bigger than ever, with more than 20 authors attending, including a classically trained musician, a former professional dancer and choreographer and an elementary school teacher.

BookFest PA 2018: Comics to Cozies takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Schlow Centre Region Library parking lot.
This year’s authors cover a number of genres, including young adult fiction, fantasy, romance, historical fiction, children’s fiction, comics and more. Visitors can meet the authors, purchase books and have the authors sign books.

The featured artists and authors include areyoshi, Cara Achterberg, Olivia Berrier, Pamela Behrend, M. J. Brunnabend, Judy Ann Davis, Janice Dembosky, Lindsay Detwiler, Jeannette DiLouie, Robert Hack, J.M. Hackman, Denise Kaminsky, Gayle C. Krause, Nickie Krewson, Jason Lenox, Sherri Maret, C.S. McDonald, Jodi Moore, Carrie Anne Noble, John Skerchock and Aspen Willow.

Caricature artist Seth Young will be on hand to draw attendees’ likenesses. Prices will vary.

BookFest PA is presented by Schlow Centre Region Library with the cooperation of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and the sponsorship of Jason Lenox, Comic Swap, Nittany Con and the Pennsylvania Center for the Book.
