Candlelight Vigil to Remember Penn State Student

Members of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity will hold a candlelight vigil for Penn State student Will Denton at 5 p.m. on Thursday on the steps of Old Main.

“The vigil is open to everyone as Will has touched the hearts of students across various communities,” ATO President Tanner Gattuso said via email.

Denton was found dead by university police in his Eastview Terrace single dorm room on Jan, 8. Police were conducting a wellness check at the request of Denton’s parents. Denton’s cause of death is still unknown at this time.

ATO alumni funded buses for the chapter to travel to North Carolina for Denton’s services on Jan. 13, according to ATO National Fraternity CEO Wynn Smiley. The Dentons requested ATO brothers sit with the family.
