You can tell a lot about a man by the way he interacts with kids. I first met Senator Jake Corman on a little league baseball diamond a few years ago. We’ve spent the last few years coaching against each other on different teams. This summer, he asked me to help him coach the Bellefonte Little League All Star team and we became fast friends.
Jake has the perfect temperament to work with kids, heck anyone really. He worked tirelessly to make sure that the kids developed, were highly competitive, but above all else that they had fun and were respectful at all times. Nearly every teaching opportunity was met with a great story or appropriate analogy to help the kids not only understand, but to learn. It’s no surprise to me that he applies the same skill sets to his work in Harrisburg, or that he has been so successful on behalf of the constituents of the 34th district. Simply put, the man is as genuine as they come, and has a deep affection and respect for the folks he represents, regardless of which party they are aligned to.
It is also no surprise to me that Jake has ascended to such a lofty leadership post within the Senate. He is well respected by the majority of his colleagues and has been a uniter on many issues, always willing to work with anyone to advance the interests of his district and Pennsylvania as a whole. It is a fine thing to have OUR senator working for us as majority leader to make sure the voices of central Pennsylvania are always heard.
Jake Corman is a great husband, father, coach and friend. I am proud to endorse his candidacy to remain our trusted Senator in the 34th district, and I encourage all of you to do the same on November 6.
