Senator Jake Corman will host a “Senator for a Day” seminar at Toftrees Resort tomorrow, Nov. 1, for high school juniors and seniors from each of the high schools in the 34th Senatorial District, including State College Area, Bellefonte Area, Penns Valley Area, Bald Eagle Area, Belleville Mennonite, Indian Valley, Juniata, East Juniata, West Perry, Mifflinburg, Newport, Susquenita, and Centre County Christian Academy.
Over 150 young people will attend the daylong event that will provide them a one-on-one experience with local lawmakers and government offficials.
The seminar will give students the chance to air views, offer input, and learn more about state government, as well as talk with key players in the legislative process.
Students will participate in a mock Legislative Session, drafting and working legislation through the committee process all the way to the Senate floor for a vote.
The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m.
