Theresa Caputo, a psychic medium famous for her TLC reality show “Long Island Medium,” is coming to State College this fall to perform live at the Bryce Jordan Center. The show, called “The Experience,” will feature Caputo sharing how her “gift” works as well as stories from her personal life.
The show’s press release promises that Caputo will “deliver healing messages to audience members and give people comfort knowing that their loved ones who passed are still with them, just in a different way.” Select audience members will also receive a “reading” from Caputo, who says that she cannot turn her “gift” off and relays messages from departed loved ones as they “come through,” but apparently she can summon the power at any point during her live, on-stage performance.
“The Experience isn’t about believing in mediums. It’s about witnessing something life-changing” Caputo said in the BJC press release. “It’s like Long Island Medium live, witnessing first-hand spirit communication.”
“The Experience” will take place on Monday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $41.75 (and that doesn’t even guarantee a “reading!”) and will go on-sale Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at all the usual Jordan Center locations — the BJC, Eisenhower Auditorium, the Downtown Theatre, Ticketmaster.com, and by calling 800-745-3000.
Caputo is by no means the first “celebrity” psychic medium to “read” people in Happy Valley. Penn State actually has its own medium — Monica Ten-Kate, who last year premiered her own show on ABC titled “Monica the Medium.”
