Olympic Medalists Dietzen and Glass to Visit All-Sports Museum

Penn State alumnae and 2016 Olympic volleyball bronze medalists Christa (Harmotto) Dietzen and Alisha Glass will share their experiences with Team USA at the Penn State All-Sports Museum on Oct. 2.

The presentation will be held at 11 a.m. in the Clemens Family Theater and light refreshments will be served.

The former Nittany Lion standouts helped the U.S. to a 3-1 win over The Netherlands in the bronze medal match in Rio in August, marking Team USA’s second bronze medal in women’s volleyball since 1992. The U.S. went undefeated in pool play before falling to Serbia, 3-2, in the semifinals.

Dietzen also became the first Penn State alum to win two Olympic women’s volleyball medals, capturing silver with the U.S. at the 2012 London games. 

Dietzen, a native of Hopewell, Pa., was a two-time first-team All-American, the 2008 CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year in women’s volleyball and a member of two Penn State national championship teams. Glass also was a two-time first-team All-American for Penn State and a member of three national title teams.
