Penn State Student Tickets Sell Out Again

Tickets for the Penn State football student section sold out this week, with each class level grabbing their share of the more than 21,200 ducats on assigned sale dates over four days this week.

The junior and senior classes each bought up their allotments in less than an hour, according to the university.

“Our student section is awesome,” head coach James Franklin said in a statement. “Those 21,000 students pack the end zone and give us a home field advantage unlike any in college football. We can’t wait to get back in Beaver Stadium this fall.”

The Beaver Stadium student section has sold out consistently for the past four decades.

Students who were not able to purchase tickets will have the option of using the athletic department’s Student TicketExchange for home games during the season. Information about the Ticketexchange will be posted at GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral.

Penn State opens its season against Kent State at 3:30 pm. on Sept. 3 at Beaver Stadium, with the game airing on BTN.

One of the most sought-after tickets overall on the Penn State schedule is the Nittany Lions’ Sept. 10 game at Pitt, renewing the intrastate gridiron rivalry that’s been dormant since 2001. Ticket prices on the secondary market continue to rise for the game at Heinz Field.
