Penn State tight end Nick Bowers could be seeing significant playing time on the football field this season with the dismissal of Brent Wilkerson, but if his dunk game is any indication, maybe he should take his talents to the Bryce Jordan Center as well.
Running back Saquon Barkley tweeted out a video of the 6-foot, 4-inch redshirt freshman driving the lane and leaping over wide receiver Tyler Shoop before slamming the ball home. Apparently someone at ESPN got wind of the incredible athleticism and the dunk ended up on the SportsCenter Top 10 Plays.
Off the basketball court, Bowers is headed into his first available season for the Nittany Lions where he’s expected to be a key option in Joe Moorhead’s new offense. One of his first games will be against Pitt, the school he flipped his commitment from to play in Happy Valley.
