DUI charges may be filed against a State College woman after she crashed an Oldsmobile Aurora along South Atherton Street this week, according to a police report.

The woman, Jill Solt, 36, was traveling north on the 2300 block about 8:20 p.m. Monday when the wreck happened, the report shows. The 2300 block is in College Township, near Meyer Dairy.

Solt told police that she had been looking for her mobile phone when the car went over a curb and hit a guard rail, according to the report. About 20 feet of guard rail was left rolled up along the road after the crash, police said.

According to the report, Solt had slurred speech and was incoherent at the scene. She admitted to taking several prescription medications before driving, police said.

Solt complained of neck, side, knee and back pain, and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, according to the report. Police said she agreed to be tested for prescription-drug use.

The Oldsmobile sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
