Penn State Young Americans for Freedom is organizing a ‘Rally for Jobs’ to counter a Tuesday visit by Vice President Joe Biden, the conservative student group announced Monday.

The YAF rally — called a protest in a news release — will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. just outside the Pollock Road entrance to the HUB-Robeson Center, University Park.

Inside, the Democratic gathering to feature Biden is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. The Democratic event, called ‘Moving America Forward’ and sponsored by the Penn State College Democrats, is intended to help drum up enthusiasm before the Nov. 2 elections.

But in the YAF release, the conservative group called the Obama administration’s policies ‘unhelpful,’ citing unemployment rates in excess of 50 percent among youth.

‘This administration was brought to power by the youth vote, but they (the administration) have done literally nothing for the young people of America,’ Penn State YAF Chairman Samuel Settle said in the release. ‘It’s a betrayal. Biden and Obama have left us in far worse condition than we were two years ago. Anyone trying to enter the job market can attest to that.’
