A sexual assault was reported Saturday in downtown State College, borough police said.

The incident, reported shortly after 4 p.m., happened the prior night at 320 E. Beaver Ave., according to a police report. That’s the location of the Cedarbrook apartment building.

Police said an investigation was ongoing Sunday. The matter involves two parties who are known to authorities, according to the police report. No other details were immediately released.

Among other significant calls handled by State College police over the weekend:

  • A customer at the Phyrst, 111 E. Beaver Ave., got into a dispute with another patron early Sunday, according to a police report. He resisted the bar staff and fell while being escorted out about 1:20 a.m., police said. In the fall, he suffered what was thought to be a broken nose, according to the report. No charges or citations against the man are anticipated.

  • Someone broke two windows in downtown State College — one each at the For Men Only shop, 125 E. Beaver Ave., and at Uncle Eli’s, 129 E. Beaver Ave., according to a police report. It happened about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, police said. The window broken at Uncle Eli’s was especially large — some eight feet by eight feet in size, according to the report. Alcohol is thought to have been a factor in the incidents, which remained under investigation Sunday, police said.
