The All-American Rathskeller announced Sunday on Facebook a schedule for its final day in operation, including time limits for patrons so as many people as possible can say their goodbyes to the beloved and historic bar. Last call for the Skeller is Saturday, Jan. 27, and the bar is expecting a crowd to remember.
“In order to allow as many Skeller devotees as possible to say their goodbyes, each patron will be restricted to a time limit,” the Facebook post says. “It will be necessary for patrons to leave the Skeller at the times listed below to allow staff to clean up and usher a new group of patrons in.”
The four visitor slots are:
- 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., food service until 3 p.m.
- 4:30 to 7 p.m., food service until 6 p.m.
- 7:30 to 10 p.m., food service until 9 p.m.
- 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., no food service
The Skeller’s maximum occupancy is 350 patrons at any given time. Children under the age of 10, accompanied by a parent, will be allowed in only until 7 p.m.
Those leaving after the end of a time limit are welcome to go to the end of the line and return inside if there’s enough space. Cover will be $5, collected from each person each time they enter.
“Although we realize this is unconventional and inconvenient, it is the best way to provide safe fun for ALL!” the Facebook post says. “We love you ALL!”
The Facebook post also included the Skeller’s band lineup for the day, which is as follows:
- noon to 2 p.m.: Velveeta
- 2:30 to 4 p.m.: JR and Sharon
- 4:30 to 7 p.m.: Lowjack
- 7:30 to 10 p.m.: Table Ten
- 10:30 to close: Skoal Bros.
