The snow is gone and for students, finals are just around the corner. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a flick, a drink or some music, StateCollege.com has your weekend planned.

Friday, April 27

Bars and Clubs

At Bar Bleu, Happy Hour runs from 10 p.m. to midnight, and Lowjack plays at 10:30 p.m. 

Levels Bar features $2 shots and DJ Hot Linh spins on Friday. 

At GMan, the specials feature $5 Bud Light pitchers and at Happy Hour, there are $5 Lifesaver pitchers. DJ Boner will be spinning from 10 p.m. through 2 a.m. 

Fun for the Family

Through Sunday, Mount Nittany Middle School will put on its rendition of ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. at the middle school and complete ticketing information is available here

Family Night at the YMCA features games and activities for the whole family, including activities and games, food and arts and crafts. Complete information can be found here

Storytelling at Shaver’s Creek is targeted toward children in preschool through third grade, and features children’s writer Clem Bowen. He’ll spend the evening performing ‘Natural History Stories,’ and complete information is available here

Saturday, April 28

Shows

The State Theatre is showing ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show,’ and encourages all guests to bring props, according to a list with full details provided here. Tickets cost $5 (There is a $2 ticket handling fee).

‘The Great American Trailer Park Musical’ is playing at the Boal Barn Playhouse, and tells the story of a new tenant wreaking havoc at ‘Armadillo Aces.’ Ticket prices and showtimes are available here.

Sports

MMA Cage Fighting, featuring beer and food tents, will be held at Tussey Mountain all day. This is State College’s first-ever sanctioned cage fighting event, and complete information is available here

At 2 p.m., Penn State Softball kicks off a double-header v. Minnesota at Nittany Lion Park. Ticketing information and more is available here

Sunday, April 29

Events

The Central PA Dance Workshop is putting on ‘A Trip to the Big Apple,’ featuring performances styled after New York City life, music included. Choreographed by Central PA Dance Workshop faculty, the production starts at 7 p.m. at The State Theatre and full information is available here.
