The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch Wednesday night for much of central Pennsylvania, including the State College area, according to AccuWeather.com.
It will be in effect through midnight.
A powerful line of thunderstorms is expected to pass through the State College area before 8 p.m., bringing heavy wind gusts, lightning and some substantial rainfall, the forecast shows.
