Ticket Supply Exhausted for Jane Goodall Talk at Penn State

UPDATED @ 4:59 p.m. March 21: The supply of public tickets for Jane Goodall’s March 24 talk at Penn State University Park has been exhausted, according to the Student Programming Association.

Tickets for Jane Goodall’s March 24 talk at Penn State University Park are now available for Penn State students, the university announced.

Starting Monday, tickets will be available to all others — including the general public — based on availability.

The tickets are free but will be required for admission to the talk, scheduled for 8 p.m. at Eisenhower Auditorium.

Penn State will distribute the tickets between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays at the Eisenhower Auditorium box office; from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays at the HUB-Robeson Center; from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office; and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Penn State Downtown Theatre Centre, in State College.

Goodall, who holds a Ph.D from Cambridge University, founded the Gombe Stream Research Center in Tanzania. Internationally renowned for her pioneering studies of chimpanzees, she also has created the Jane Goodall Institute for Research, Education and Conservation.

Her appearance at Penn State will be part of the Student Programming Association’s Distinguished Speaker Series for 2010-11.
