The Eagles will play Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center on Oct. 22, the center staff announced Monday morning.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for American Express card holders and at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, for everyone else, according to a report on Penn State Live. VIP ticket packages will be available, too.

Standard seats are priced at four levels: $51, $87, $137 and $201 apiece, according to the Live report. Tickets will be sold through the Jordan Center ticket office, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Theatre Downtown, Altoona Campus Ticket Outlet and all Ticketmaster outlets — and online at www.bjc.psu.edu.

Fans also will be able to buy tickets by phone; the number is (814) 865-5555. Details about VIP packages are available via www.iloveallaccess.com. (VIP plans for Eagles concerts at other venues can cost as much as $795, though VIP prices for the Jordan Center show have not yet been posted.)

Among the most popular rock bands in U.S. history, the Eagles will visit University Park as part of a fall 2010 tour.  The group has won six Grammy awards and sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, according to a note from the Jordan Center.

According to the Eagles’ official website, the band’s 2010 fall tour will run from October through December and include 23 shows overall. Eleven of those will be in Australia; the rest will be in the U.S.

Outside of University Park, the tour’s only other scheduled date in Pennsylvania will be Oct. 19, when the Eagles will play Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center. The Eagles last played the Jordan Center in June 1996. Tickets then were priced at $78.50 apiece for seats at all levels.
