It is a cold day in State College but there is plenty to do!

Family Fun

Enjoy some time at the bog at Black Moshannon State Park Discover the unique plants and animals that make the bog their home. Meet at Boat Launch #3 on West Side Road at 1 p.m.

Also at Black Mashannon State Park, explore the one-room schoolhouse while discovering the interesting history of the Black Moshannon State Park area. Try to play some of the games from the time period. Meet at the one room schoolhouse near the concession stand at 3 p.m.

Join the PSU Medieval Society for this fun and free event! We’re looking at mythical creatures and magic – bring the kiddoes, play some games, do a craft, have a snack! The fun begins at 2 p.m. at the Schlow Centre Region Library.

Celebrate Earth Day at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. Great fun for the whole family! FREE! Come enjoy an afternoon of fun and learning! Visit displays from local environmental organizations, enjoy kids activities and crafts, food, games, and more! Earth Day Birthday is an enjoyable time for all ages and open to the public for no charge. This event starts at 2 p.m. at the Millbrook Marsh Recreation Center.

Performances

The PA Centre Orcestra presents La Midi, starting at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County.  For more information visit the Centre Orcehestra’s website.

Sports

Penn State Men’s tennis is matching up against Indiana 12 p.m. at the Sarni Tennis Center.

Penn State softball takes on Illinois at 1 p.m. at Nittany Lion Field.
