Penn State defensive end Adisa Isaac found an NFL home on Friday night, going No. 93 overall to the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the NFL Draft. Isaac is the second former Nittany Lion defensive end to hear his name called this draft, joining Chop Robinson, who was picked No. 21 by the Miami Dolphins in the first round on Thursday evening.

Isaac was one of two Penn State players drafted on Friday. Offensive tackle Caedan Wallace was picked up at No. 68 overall by the New England Patriots with the fourth pick of the third round.

Isaac is three years removed from an achilles injury, but bounced back in a big way since then, turning heads as a major contributor to a solid stable of defensive ends to have rolled through State College over the past several seasons. Opting last offseason to return to Penn State for a fifth and final year, Isaac posted a career high in tackles with 37 total, 23 solo, as well as 7.5 sacks credited to his name by the end of the 13-game 2023 campaign.

Robinson and Isaac are the first duo of Penn State DEs selected in the same draft since Odafe Oweh and Shaka Toney were picked up over the course of the 2021 draft. Oweh went No. 31 overall in the first round, while Toney would sneak in as a seventh round selection. Fittingly, Isaac will join Oweh on the Ravens’ defensive front.

As a program, Penn State — now with four draftees — is expected to have upwards of 10 players drafted over the course of the three-day event, a figure that would tie the Nittany Lions’ highest-ever total, set in 1996, and mark the highest under James Franklin, which was previously set at eight in 2022.

Isaac’s teammates in the trenches, offensive tackle Olu Fashanu, selected No. 11 overall by the New York Jets, and Robinson are Penn State’s headliners this draft cycle.

The NFL Draft wraps up on Saturday with rounds 4 through 7 starting at noon.
