Penn State will once again get an early start on the day as the Nittany Lions are set to face Rutgers at noon on Nov. 18, the program announced on Monday. The game at Beaver Stadium will air on either FOX or FS1, with that detail to be announced at a later date.
The game against the Scarlet Knights will be Penn State’s seventh noon kick of the season, with this weekend’s clash against Michigan also slated for a noon start time on FOX. Penn State’s meeting against Michigan State at Ford Field in Detroit to close out the regular season is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start airing on NBC, according to a previous released broadcast schedule. The Nittany Lions’ primetime season opener against West Virginia also aired on NBC.
Penn State currently sits No. 11 in the College Football Playoff Rankings, which are scheduled for a weekly release on Tuesday evening. The Nittany Lions are No. 9 in the AP Top 25 after improving to 8-1 on the year with a 51-15 victory over Maryland on Saturday in College Park. Penn State has now scored 40 or more points on four occasions this season.
