Esther V. Watson, 92, formerly of Runville, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Wynwood House-Centre Hall. Born on March 17, 1932, in Mill Hall, she was the daughter of the late Merion W. and Grace M. (Smith) Walker. On February 27, 1954, in Runville, she married David M. Watson. David passed away on March 1, 2019.
Esther was a 1950 graduate of State College Area High School. She was a member of the Runville United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
Esther enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, holidays, Christmas was her favorite, watching game shows, and watching the wildlife outside her windows. She was a great baker, especially Angel Food Cake.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Nancy I. Watson of Bellefonte, one granddaughter, Marlina C. Giebler and her husband, Jonathan Giebler, of Bellefonte, one brother, Paul W. Walker of Reading, PA, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by two daughters: Linda Marie Watson and Virginia Pinnell, one brother, Eugene Walker and two sisters: Gladys M Shuey and Peggy L. Bierly.
A visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4-6pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Jeanette Desmond officiating. Burial will be private at Advent Cemetery in Boggs Twp.
