State Police Investigating Homicide in Haines Township

no description

State police at Rockview are conducting a homicide investigation after a Spring Mills man was fatally stabbed early Thursday morning in Penns Valley.

Troopers responded at 4:30 a.m. to the 200 block of Mountain Avenue in Haines Township where 26-year-old Robert William Farwell was unresponsive outside of a residence, police said in a statement. After EMS personnel provided life-saving measures, Farwell was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

“This investigation is a homicide in relation to a domestic incident,” District Attorney Bernie Cantorna said in a statement. “There is no immediate threat to the public.”

Police and Cantorna did not say if a suspect is in custody.

The investigation is being led by the Pennsylvania State Police Troop G Major Case Team in conjunction with the district attorney’s office.
