Metallica will bring its WorldWired tour to the Bryce Jordan Center Saturday, Oct. 20. Comedian Jim Breuer will open the show.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2.
The WorldWired tour supports Metallica’s new album Hardwired…to Self-Destruct. The band last performed at the BJC in 1997 as part of its Poor Touring Me tour.
The band was one of only two rock acts to sell more than a million concert tickets in North America last year in just 26 performances. Metallica was also the top-selling rock act of the year and had the third best-selling rock album.
Metallica also supports the All Within My Hands foundation, which donates to a cross-section of national and local charities, music education programs, and local food banks. The band encourages fans to donate when purchasing tickets to be entered to win tickets, pre-show party passes, and meet and greet passes. One winner will also be flown to the last show on the tour.
Tickets start at $65 can be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre Center, by calling 800-745-3000, or online. Each ticket includes your choice of a physical or digital copy of Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.
