Penn State Student Suffers Head Trauma During Fraternity Altercation

State College police are searching for information after a Penn State student suffered head trauma during an altercation at a fraternity house.

The incident happened between midnight and 2 a.m. July 18 in the 500 block of South Allen Street at the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity house.

Authorities say the 19-year-old victim, who resides in the house, asked a group of people to leave the property. Afterward, police say an unknown male in the group punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground.

The victim was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center and then transferred to Penn State Hershey Medical Center to be treated for significant head trauma, police say.
