Tickets Still Available for Paterno-Krzyzewski TV Taping at Penn State

Some 400 free tickets remain available for the taping Monday of an ESPN production featuring coaches Joe Paterno and Mike Krzyzewski, Penn State announced Sunday night.

The taping, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Auditorium, is slated to last at least 90 minutes, according to university statements. Those who attend will be asked to stay for the duration of the taping, to be used for two TV shows.

Both will air on June 30 — one at 8 p.m. on ESPN, the other at 9 p.m. on ESPNU. They’ll be called ‘Difference Makers: Life Lessons with Paterno and Krzyzewski,’ and will feature the men’s comments about teaching leadership and teamwork, among other subjects, according to the university.

Krzyzewski is the men’s basketball coach at Duke; Paterno, the head football coach at Penn State.

The remaining free tickets will be available — that is, available to all takers — starting at 8 a.m. Monday at the Eisenhower Auditorium box office, University Park. Attendees will be asked to be seated by 1:30 p.m., according to a university statement.

Earlier this month, tickets were offered to select invitees. They were made available to all university students starting on Friday.

Audience members will have a chance Monday to ask questions of Paterno and Krzyzewski, Penn State reported. The event is sponsored in part by the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism at Penn State and supported by Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and Duke Athletics.

Free parking for the event will be available in the Eisenhower Parking Deck. Any overflow will be directed to the East Deck, just off Bigler Road.
