Penn State football will exit the off week still at No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll released on Sunday. The Nittany Lions (5-1) are one of four Big Ten teams inside the top 10, with Ohio State (5-1) leading the way at No. 5 while Michigan (6-0) sits one spot ahead of the Nittany Lions at No. 6.
The undefeated Wolverines jumped Penn State in the polls after sitting at No. 8 last weekend. Michigan State (7-0) rounds out the Big Ten’s appearance in the top 10, moving up one spot to No. 9.
Former No. 2 Iowa (6-1) dropped to No. 11 in the poll after falling to Purdue on Saturday. The Boilermakers (4-2) cracked the Top 25 at No. 25.
Penn State’ Week 3 opponent Auburn (5-2) is now No. 19 after a Saturday victory over Arkansas.
Former Penn State backup quarterback Will Levis and Kentucky (6-1) are No. 15 after falling to No. 1 Georgia (7-0) this past weekend.
Cincinnati (6-0) moved into the No. 2 spot, followed by No. 3 Oklahoma (7-0) and No. 4 Alabama (6-1) to round out the Top 5.
